Sam Frankl

“Certain to resonate long after listening”

Born in Brixton, London, Sam Frankl spent his formative years straddling a life at school in Battersea and sailing port to port through Europe on a one hundred year old German sailing barge with his parents.

Lyrical grace and gentle, flourishing electronica cocoon Frankl’s burrowing acoustics. Songs that bow as much to Leonard Cohen as they do to James Blake, his music presents a hypnotic young voice captivated by the shadows of the human condition and grounded by years spent traveling the globe, writing poetry and mastering his own production techniques.

A published poet on both sides of the Atlantic, Frankl made a significant impression with his video series ‘The Surrogate Poets.‘ Issued by literary journal Black and Blue, the series saw the young poet travel across the U.S.A. inviting strangers to recite his work.
