wagamama is the leading pan Asian restaurant group, with locations situated across the UK and internationally.
wagamama first approached MAV Music several months ago with the idea to refresh the music for their upcoming brand evolution; to reflect their smart but trendy style and ever evolving customer base.
A completely new music library was created, with weeks of work going into selecting the sound that best represented wagamama, but eventually we found it, and they loved it. We created a staff warm up playlist, different atmospheric playlists to reflect certain trading periods, downtime & upbeat playlists as well as our automatic day & evening playlists.
We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our three testing sites, with staff telling us that customers had spontaneously commented on how much they enjoyed the music. MAV Music have now worked closely with wagamama to roll out systems on a large scale and internationally.
We assisted in creating a brand partnership for wagamama and Spotify, allowing their music to be easily accessible to customers and the public.
The only way that members of the public could be involved with the flotilla on the Thames during the celebrations in 2012 for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee was by boarding one of the allocated passenger boats. KPMG Thames Clippers approached MAV Music to provide the soundtrack for its entire fleet of 12 boats, as the musical accompaniment to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity was integral to the experience.

With over 20 Pod sites across London and still growing, MAV Music is proud to have worked with Pod since the very first opening. CEO and Founder of Pod Food, Tim Hall, required a musical identity that was in tune with the brand’s pioneering spirit in order to set it apart from high-street homogeneity. The combination of Salsa, Latin, funk, Brazilian and electro sounds across different trading periods creates an ambience that is totally unique, and distinctly Pod. Frequent customer requests for playlists and track information stand as testament to the music’s popularity.
Quality food, ethos, and atmosphere combine to make pod a daily favourite for thousands of Londoners, and its music plays an integral role in the brand’s growth and development.
When the Creative Director of the Conran Shop Chelsea contacted MAV Music in 2012 to commission an alternative playlist for the Christmas period, it broke a silence as old as the store. It was a truly innovative project that began without any pre-existing musical concept and therefore it was essential that the results set a flawless precedent. A music management system was installed so that each mood of the day went hand in hand with a tailored soundtrack that is in perfect harmony with the season. Curation of the aural retail experience was a precise process and ensured that the creative vision and Conran brand was perfectly preserved.
When the organizers of this exciting and unique London pop-up night market event approached MAV Music in 2012, we were thrilled by the prospect of having a hand in the creation of such an on-trend, vibrant event series. The market itself offers street food stalls, bars, artisan producers and restaurants all housed for limited runs in a plethora of different settings, ranging from warehouses to tube stations.
Music plays an integral role to create an atmosphere for temporary events such as these and with this in mind MAV Music compiled a number of playlists for each event to reflect the vibrancy and individual character of each Feast. By drawing from MAV Music’s extensive music library and by engaging all of our contacts within the music industry, our music solutions combined cutting edge indie-rock with emerging alternative acts to set the tone for some truly memorable nights.
MAV Music Supervision worked closely with the Es Vivé team during our event in Ibiza in the Summer of 2016, providing a full music solution from installation of our system through to curating, running and organising an opening party for the venue.

With our music in place and having received great feedback from the team at Es Vivé we were approached to provide an online-radio solution for the brand, by taking the music profiles we had in place and adapting it to an online audience as well as taking a fresh approach with remixes, covers and hard to find tracks. MAV Music were honoured to work with the prestigious Park Club in Acton to provide music for their annual Children In Need Charity event, with a successful event focusing on fitness and health with several teams from high-profile companies across the UK, we worked closely with the events team to provide the perfect soundtrack for a fitness oriented event, and perhaps one of the best gym soundtracks ever.
