The Lighterman in Kings Cross is wonderfully situated by the canal for G&Ts on sunny days; the Boxcar Butcher and Grill a Marleybone institution with delicious meats and breads also sold at the Baker and Deli down the road; and Percy and Founders is a great Sunday hangout spot, with tasty brunches and rich roasts.
For the music, we have some contemporary soul, nu:jazz, classic funk and world music, with an emphasis on dancier beats in the evening, when drinks are flowing more freely and the afterwork crowd is in full swing.
